Time for a clear out
Things have one from bad to worse for me this year, so I am calling it a day with my writing - www.alsdominion.co.uk/home/how-things-played-out-for-me.
As I had to sell my laptop last week, I cleaned out all my old files.
I damaged my left leg.
As I mentioned in my post disqus.com/home/discussion/channel-indieworld/all_shook_up/, I recently had a fall. I didn't realize the accident was three weeks ago, which makes me current condition more worrying than I thought, as I am still suffering from a nagging migraine and now my left leg is so weak that I cannot stand on it.
The fall was caused by a weak left ankle, I tore the tendon 11 years ago, and owing to various medical issues it was not able to be repaired, not that a torn tendon is ever fully repaired; one you tear a muscle it is always weakened.
Hawaii or Alaska?
On alternate years the Gaither Homecoming tours go to either Alaska or Hawaii. For me, there would be no question if I had the choice.
Even if I didn't suffer from migraines and heatstroke, I would have chosen Alaska.
What better way to appreciate the glory of the Lord than seeing the mountains, and to feel the bite of the sea on your face. I have to admit that I am more acclimatized to the cold than the heat.
What are you going to do in Hawaii, once you've seen the sunset and the waves? It's great if you enjoy the beach, but I'd rather have the memories of a lovely trip than the remains of a suntan.
Over the last two or three years, as my e-book sales have crashed; I found the best way to get readers for my blogs is to use the magic word. No, not please, or thank you, but FREE.
By adding free to the title, I'll attract readers like ants to honey.
Another proof of this is that the only e-books that have "sold" on Draft2Digital in this period are the free ones I give out.
It isn't always about religion.
If you read my posts, you'll know that I am not overly religious, or trying to push religion on you.
There is something about churches that fascinates me when I enter one I can sense a calm that I never feel anywhere else. Whether it is because of the building being a church or not I haven't been able to realize as yet, perhaps it could be because I sense another presence in the building. One that is all powerful.
I have wondered if I should have been a Padre since my days in the RAF when I got sent on a course to Andover, Hampshire. People have often said that I would make a good counselor, as I can empathize with the problems of other people well.
I can say with certainty that I admire the men who built the church in the days before Health and Safety rules.
I don't mean the Forgestriker series of seven e-books; I am talking about the e-book Forgestriker that has sold over 400 e-books in four years.
Without that success, there would have been nothing to show I had been a writer for a decade.
