The wages of SIN.
The beggar writer.
That is how I feel at the moment; I used to sell my e-books, now you read my blog FREE.
I spend days and weeks writing a story, and all I ask is less than the price of a cup of coffee, and yet nobody is willing to pay for my time - I jest not - I could make more money as a beggar than a writer.
The situation I find myself in is not unlike the character in my story - www.alsdominion.co.uk/the-reading-room/mordhiemicus - we are both storytellers who only want enough money to get a drink, a bed and a meal.
This photo is a good image for my state of health after my accident in June; I can no longer stand without support.
It is a good thing that I do not out out often - www.alsdominion.co.uk/home/panic-attacks.
All I ask is a few cents for a months' work as a writer so I can get paid by Draft2Digital for the first time in almost a year.
It is sad to me, to find that people are happy to read this free blog but are unwilling to spend a few cents to buy an e-book from me, is my writing that worthless?
I never made more than $0.50 a week so giving up writing in October is no loss to either me or you as readers.
I wouldn't bother buying my e-books, they are a good bargain but it is too late to make a difference to my decision to stop writing in October.
