The Screwtape letters.
In a discussion a short while ago, a friend mentioned that my ideas on Christianity are similar to those that were held by C.S. Lewis; so I thought I'd read some of his works.
Most people are familiar with the tales of Narnia, even if you haven't read them, you have heard of them. But, Mr. Lewis was a well-known writer on the subject of Christianity too; the book I am reading is "The Screwtape Letters," this book centers on a series of letters between an older devil and a younger imp as the imp attempts to change the mind of a man on Christianity. I have to admit; I am enjoying the book.
In the book an elder demon writes letters to guide a younger demon on who to attempt to tempt people to Devil Worship; if I was writing letters to a younger me, the text would be do not be a writer all it will bring you is heartbreak.
One of the things I hope to do this month is to finish reading this story; I have several of the books C.S. Lewis wrote, I am not a glut reader as the books on my shelves are many and of a varied selection.
I am enjoying the story, even if it is hard reading; I doubt I'll finish it for a few months.
