 The Hiding Place.

The Hiding Place is the first in the four-book collection I ordered from Eden.co.uk www.eden.co.uk/shop/corrie-ten-boom-omnibus-4351514.html.

I first read this book over 40 years ago, though not as well-known as Anne Frank, Connie Ten Boom, and her family did a lot to help Jews in Holland until a Dutch collaborator exposed their network.

I never knew if the collaboration got forced. A collaborator may decide to work with the enemy for fear of harm to their family, to gain information to aid the resistance, or the choice be made willingly as in the case of Dries Riphagen who got paid well by the Germans. To understand the mind of a collaborator, you need to know why they did what they did.

I got a surprise this week when my order arrived; it came in a package for people who are blind, I am not blind but I do have a problem reading so the audio discs are a welcome surprise.
