What makes a person commit Suicide?
Many people see suicide as a person “copping out,” but have you ever thought of what pressures it takes to commit the act?
A person who takes their life must have reached a point where nothing makes sense and there is little hope of pulling out of the downward spiral - believe me, I know of what I speak - the thought has crossed my mind over the years. I am not sure what stops me as life is so bleak for me, and there is only more to come in the years ahead with my disabilities getting worse.
Many religions believe suicide is a sin because they hold the belief that the Lord gave us life, so only HE can take it back. I am not religious, and I don’t see suicide as a sin.
Some people see depression as a sign of weakness, while others see it as as sign of fighting for too long and too hard against a system designed to grind the individual into the dirt.
