Several months ago, for the first time in over 30 years, I almost went to church.
I was standing outside http://www.cliftondiocese.com/…/bristol-christ-king-filwood/ when the verger asked if I wanted to attend Mass.
I thought seriously about going to Mass, even though I am not Catholic, I felt with all that was going on in my life at the time I needed a staff to hold onto; that is why I began reading www.premierchristianity.com/. I had stopped by the church as the building interested me as one of my interests is church history.
Why didn't I go in?
I didn't think I dressed appropriately for the church in a hoodie emblazoned the IDF (Israeli Defense Force) slogan on it, and jeans. I have since lost the hoodie.
The religion was no bother, I have friends of many faiths - in fact, we rarely discuss religion - we are friends, and that is what matters.
As I walked away, this song came to mind http://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=J2290JNU
