On the warpath.
My only qualification came from my days in college; I got a basic English certificate for my talk on the plight of the Native Americans which at the time (the 1970s) was not the thing to do - you did not tell people how badly the white man had mistreated his Native American friend.
Like many other things, I like to read about the topic rather than believe what I get told; the same goes for Israel. It did help that at the time I was an avid, nee addict, reader and found it hard not to read a book.
Many of the raids by the Native Americans came about because of what the white men had done to them; the prime example being the Cherokee nation wars.
The Cherokee are renowned for being relentless warriors and deadly fighters; the raids they carried out came about from the Gold Rush when the 49ers cared little for hygiene causing a smallpox epidemic that destroyed over 50% of the nations.
One of the most feared names in the Americas was Geronimo; few people knew he was not the chosen leader of the Apache. One of the most feared warriors was Magnus Colorado who fought long and hard against the white man, so would I if I'd seen my family wiped out by cannons.
I could go on, but you get the message.
